About me

From an early age, JoElyn saw art as a vital part of life in a city. Her mother worked with graphic artists and illustrators such as James Thurber while at The New Yorker. Her father designed the window and floor displays for Montgomery Ward in Chicago.

JoElyn graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Visual Arts and earned credentials in Art Education from Georgia State University. She exhibits and sells her work through various galleries and shows in Atlanta.

From her studio in Grove Park, JoElyn continues to experiment with various combinations of art mediums including acrylics, pen and ink, and college, attempting to create an energetic mix of texture, line, color, and shapes.
